My car, unfortunately, did not come from the factory with a backup camera, so I had been trying to find an aftermarket unit. However, I began to get a bit flustered because of all the wiring involved with these aftermarket kits. I eventually found the website from Quick Vu, and soon realized that their system really had a “true” wireless installation, after perusing their website.
This was just what I was looking for, as I am disabled and didn’t want to have to pay someone to install a “wired” backup camera system for me. I managed to do the Quick Vu Wireless installation by myself, and as advertised, in about 5 minutes. I did have to get a pair of longer screws to attach the camera unit securely to my license plate, however I managed to pick up a pair of stainless ones at my local hardware store, and would definitely recommend that you do the same.
The system worked great for a while, but I did encounter an issue with the camera unit itself a couple of years later, however the support staff at Quick Vu worked with me to get the issue resolved to my complete satisfaction, and in a very timely manner. My sincere thanks to Bob and Mitch for their assistance!!
For anyone wishing to avoid having to install a completely wired system in your vehicle, I would definitely recommend the Quick Vu Digital Wireless backup camera system. It really does take about 5 minutes to install, the picture quality on the monitor is very clear, and the system works great.. LK, Brampton, ON, Canada.

I was quite skeptical at first with a wireless camera system. After extensive research, all other stated ‘wireless’ systems still required tapping into the rear brake light power supply as well drilling a hole for the camera wire. This is what I was totally wanting to avoid. I made a call to Quikvu to inquire. I was greeted by a pleasant and helpful gentleman. He had all the right answers without any high pressure sales BS. I recently received the unit and install was simple, quick and easy (I do recommend longer license plate screws as previous reviews had stated). The response time for the camera to turn on is quick considering there is no hardwiring from camera to monitor. Picture clarity is excellent! I had ordered two cameras since the sports car I drive, I cannot see the front and through the back window, it is even worse. Now parking the vehicle is a dream. Great product! I would strongly recommend to people that do not want to tap in to the wiring system or drill a hole into their vehicle.

My 2014 RAM truck came without a back up camera system. This always bothered me and in particular when I picked my kids up from school. There is no way of seeing small kids behind the truck – a truly frightening thought. I started to look at after-market systems and this is how I found the only system working wirelessly – QuickVu! I didn’t only add one QuickVu camera to my truck but a second one to my 30 foot toy hauler. I was really curious how QuickVu wireless connection would do over this distance but it works like a charm and has made backing the trailer in so much easier and safer! My camera system is now two years old (bought June 2018) and still works like on day one. Truly love this product – highly recommended! ? Anton Brea, CA

We have had a QuickVU camera for less than two years. The first camera we had only lasted a few months before it had to be replaced. And it was only replaced after having a lengthily conversation/argument and was sent a replacement. This replacement has now stopped working. When I called, I was told it was out of warranty and I could send it back to them to fix at my cost. Time to find a new company!
Bob (verified owner) –
Dan, if we had a lengthy conversation, it was to see if there was anything we could recommend that you could do to solve the problem without sending the system back to us. I am not sure how you perceived that as an argument, but we apologize if we did not sound cooperative. We have never hesitated to repair or replace a camera under warranty. In our most recent conversation (within the last hour), we said that we would do our best to repair your system at little or no cost, but without seeing the system, I could not give an assessment. I also gave a suggestion as to the most common reason for the failure you described and how you could, if you were experienced with electronic connections, attempt the repair yourself. You did indicate that if you had to pay for a repair, you would find another solution, but you did not give us a chance to see if we could make a repair at no cost. We strive (and generally succeed, as evidenced by our many reviews) to provide excellent customer service, so I was very surprised by this comment. Please let us do what we can to make you satisfied.

Great easy system to install and use. I have them on my RV and on my SUV. There is not an easier system available at this price range that even comes close to performance and ease of installation. Usable all the time so you can see your boat or bikes on the back while you are doing 60 down the highway. Most systems only work when you go into reverse. Had a display issue and called the company and got great help from Bob.
He emailed me a prepaid mailer in 10 minutes, I sent the camera and receiver in and received a brand new replacement 4 days later in the mail. Unheard of great customer service .Bob is a star…..Thanks Bob.

Great company to deal with and a very, very easy camera to install. Use two screws that you already have on your license plate to hold the camera on and you are done. Had an issue with a camera and they sent me a prepaid mailer immediately to send in the camera for evaluation . A new replacement arrived in a few a few days. Great service, great company , great product .I have one on my RV and one on my SUV. Bob is the guy you will talk to ,he is a Star……Thanks Bob !!!

I needed something that actually WORKED without a lot of tech stuff, wiring, and time consuming installation. This QuickVu camera system was JUST the ticket for me and works GREAT!

I have owned the Quickvu backup camera for over 3 years. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who doesn’t want the fuss of installing wires underneath and through the car. Super easy to install and easy to use. This product makes backing up in my Ford Expedition so much easier in parallel parking. I like being confident there are no motorcycles parked behind where I can’t see, which is one of the main reasons I purchased this camera. Great customer service as well.

The purchase was easy. The assembly was easier and after I destroyed the camera in an accident, customer service had me up and running in a couple of days. “Winner+

Great service! While replacing batteries in my QuickVu camera I lost one of the small O-rings that go on screws securing the back cover. Customer service sent me several of these replacement O-rings to Canada without charge. Thanks!

Until the QuickVu Backup Camera System was installed on our wheelchair van it was very difficult to backup as the rearview mirror view was frequently blocked by the wheelchair passenger. The system was amazingly simple to install and provided a clear and accurate view of the area behind the van making backing up safe and easy. When a difficulty was encountered with the system, QuickVu was immediately responsive and quickly resolved the issue.

I love this camera!Great customer service, too. I had a small problem with it. Called the company and the owner got right on it and explained just how to fix it. Now it works great again!

This is the best and only rear camera that I know of that is warranty approved. I drive a 2013 Genesis Coupe, and because of my warranty, I cannot make any electrical modifications without voiding it. This camera took me about 5 minutes to screw into my license plate and about a minute to install in my car. It is all wireless and uses AA batteries. No power other than your outlet in your car is used. If you have a lease or a car with a warranty, THIS is your go to rear camera. It even came pre programmed with the lines measured perfectly. I live near the shore in NJ, so when I have to parallel park, this baby is a gem. Thank YOU!

I mounted the camera on the rear of my travel trailer and the picture I receive is crystal clear! I the QuickVu is a great product and it installs and operates with ease. I am very satisfied. Thanks!

Any one who has an older car should have one of the QUICKVU backup cameras. It is a great safety feature. I have had the backup camera for over a year and I just replaced the batteries in the camera unit. The car is used every day with 3 or 4 starts every trip.

I own a 2008 GMC Sierra pickup truck. I purchased your 7 inch monitor and camera. I was attracted to the camera by the great reviews and the fact no wiring needed. I am very happy with the quality of the camera and screen. However, in MA we can’t cover the plate portion that says “Massachusetts” — and they imprint that at the very top of the license plate. So I needed an alternate mount. I used a magnetic plate holder (as one of your reviewers mentioned) which allowed me to place the camera on the tailgate of truck and it works great. I had to find a way to mount the 7-inch monitor. I used a CD slot mounted holder device sold on Amazon, modified with a socket cap screw (M6 1.0 x 25 mm) from Home Depot to mount the monitor (and easily remove) to not obstruct the radio buttons. The system works like a charm! Here are the parts I used: 1) Monitor Mount — Amazon description: “Universal Car Mount [2 in 1] CD Slot Tablet Car Mount for 7-11 inch Tablet, CD Player Cell Phone Holder for 3.5-7 inch Smartphone – APPS2Car Tablet Car Mount Dash Holder Stand for iPad Pro/Air/Mini” 2) Magnetic license plate holder — Amazon description: “bbnmore Two (2) Poly Coated Magnetic License Plate Holder, Magnet, Tag, Plate, Test Drive, Dealer”.
System works great! Thanks, Bob Capaccio

Truly a great “ wireless “ backup camera ! Other camera manufactures claim to be “ wireless “ . They are NOT and are guilty of false advertising. Get what you want … buy the Quickvu system !

I purchased several units over the years from previous suppliers and had nothing but problems with missing parts and incomplete instructions. The QuickVu system is fool proof. Attach the camera to your rear license plate with the two supplied screws and allen wrench, stick the plug into the 12 volt plug on your dash and you are working. Best part is that I can turn it on whenever I want and do not have to be in reverse to see what’s happening behind me. Great when I am pulling a boat or have a dirt bike or bicycles on the back of my vehicle. Great for lane changes on busy roads or just getting a view of what is going on around you. I bought two and have had amazing service and support. Do not waste your time on other products.

Thanks, Len. And to be clear for readers, the supplied screws and Allen wrench are the optional security screws we offer.

We have a truck camper and it can be a challenge backing into a campsite, especially if traveling alone. The QuickVu has been just what we needed – we placed the camera at the top of our rear camper door for the best visibility. After two years, when we had an issue with our monitor flickering and going out, we phoned the company. They were very helpful, fixed what turned out to be a minor problem, and we are back enjoying our backup camera again.

I bought this system because it’s easy to install. It took less than 10 minutes and there was no wiring or drilling holes. It works great and the batteries have lasted over a year. I recently found a youtube video that rated QuickVu as the number 1 wireless back up cam. https://youtu.be/W4cyRZTpzKk

Great camera. Well made and does what it is designed to do. Batteries last about one year. Very easy to install with no need to run wires to the rear of vehicle. Wireless design is the way to go. Early problem was resolved quickly. Have used for about two years on my 2013 Mustang. Highly recommend purchasing this camera system.

I received the camera and am very happy with it. I don’t use for a daily driver, rather, for hitching up to my travel trailer and then putting it on the back of the travel trailer when I have to back it in to a spot. I bought a magnetic license plate holder (like car dealer tags) and mounted the camera on it so I can put on the back of the truck to hitch up and then attach it to the back of the trailer when I need to see behind it to park it. Works Great!

The QuickVu wireless backup camera is great. Quality is decent enough to give you a clear view of what’s behind you, it’s easy to setup, and best of all, no hassling with the internal wiring of you car to get it going.
What is best of all though is the customer service. I had an issue with the camera not connecting all the time with the monitor when I started my car. I emailed QuickVu customer support and they asked to have me send the camera in for testing. Sure enough there was an update that needed to happen in order for it to work properly in the cold weather. They sent it back with no problem and it has been working great ever since. This company knows how to treat their customers and that goes a long way in this day and age of cheap knock-offs and too-good-to-be-true products.
This camera worked as advertised and they made sure of it when it seemed like the product was having issues.
